Find A Name to Fit Your Need by Pastor Melissa Scott

Whatever your need, there is a name to fit it. “Let him trust in the name of the LORD, and then stay,” hang in there, and cast your anchor on that name. I have oft said, if I walk through the parking lot of the church and drop dead claiming “God is my healer,” I will ask Him about it when I get there; but it’s a good way to go out. “Let him stay on his God.”

H. G. Spafford wrote a hymn. Do you know of it? His wife was crossing the Atlantic with their four children. The ship sank in a storm. The cable came to him in Chicago that his wife had been rescued. The cable consisted of two words, “Saved; alone.” Four children, gone. He sat down at that point and wrote, “When peace, like a river, attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll; Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say, It is well, it is well with my soul.”
